E.C. "Buck" Holland

Mr. E.C. “Buck” Holland, age 95, of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, September 5, 2002, at his residence.

Mr. Holland was born in Bremen, GA, on September 18, 1926, and lived his childhood years there. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II, and retired with 23 years of service. Buck also worked for a number of years with Marietta Toyota as a car salesman. He had been a resident of Paulding County since 1973. Buck was an avid sports fan who loved the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Among his other interest, he enjoyed bird watching.

Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his wife, Dorris Holland; infant son, Gary Dean Holland; sisters, Eunice, Ethel, Evie, and twin sister, Eula; brothers, John, Lawrence, and David; daughter-in-law, Sharon Holland.

Buck is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Allen) Roberson of Rockmart, GA; a son, Keith Holland of Douglasville, GA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with Mr. Holland’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
