Eloise Taylor

Mrs. Mary Eloise Millhollan Taylor, age 84, of Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Eloise was born in Aragon, GA, on September 12, 1938, a daughter of the late William “Bud” Millhollan and Louise Morgan Millhollan. She was saved at 13 years of age and was a faithful member of Euharlee Baptist Church for over 71 years. Eloise was the pianist at Euharlee Baptist for over 42 years. Her love was playing the piano, her family, friends and going to church.

Eloise worked at her Daddy’s store, Aragon Superette, retired from Arrow Manufacturing after 20 years of service and then retired from Angelica Cleaning Service after 10 years with them.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew “Buddy” Taylor, whom she married March 12, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1999; two infant babies, Teresa in 1955, and Randy in 1956; and a sister, Virginia Millhollan Greeson.

Eloise is survived by her daughters, Darlene Taylor of Aragon, and Karen (Ronnie) Spann of Rockmart; son, Dale (Angie) Taylor of Aragon; six grandchildren, Michelle (Rick) Berry, Chris Chandler, Chad Chandler, Amanda (Michael) Spinks, Dylan (Kaysie) Taylor, and Adrianna Taylor; sister, Dorothy Kent of Rome, GA; brother-in-love, Billy Greeson of Aragon. Fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 20, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in Euharlee Baptist Church of Aragon with Rev. Billy Chambers, Rev. Dewey Atchley and Rev. Josh Cowart officiating. Michelle Berry will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in Aragon Cemetery with Rev. Josh Johnson conducting graveside rites. 

Eloise will lie in-state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour

Eloise’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Chris Chandler, Chad Chandler, Dylan Taylor, Jacob Pyle, Ronnie Spann, Kane Chandler, Chance Chandler, Rick Berry, Michael Spinks, and Kaden Spinks. Honorary pallbearers will include Alan Moates, Dewayne Scoggins, Steve Holder, Billy Greeson, Jim Kent, and Alan Massey.
