A. J. Johnson

Mr. A. J. Johnson, age 89, of Cedartown, Ga and formerly of Aragon passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Bartow County, GA on May 30, 1922 a son of the late Richard Johnson and the late Vinnie Moore Johnson. Mr. Johnson grew up in the Taylorsville area before moving to Aragon where he lived the greater part of his life. He was a retired employee of the Aragon Mill. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Waters Johnson on May 19, 1980; by a brother, Richard Johnson and two half brothers: Jack Franklin and W.O. Johnson.

Survivors include a step son, James Fuqua, Rockmart; a son, Donnie Johnson, Rockmart and a daughter, Cindy Mason, Rockmart; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside of Aragon Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Woodworth officiating.
