Alan Lamar Brown

Mr. Alan Lamar Brown, age 59, of 33 Knight Road, Cedartown passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at his residence.


He was born in Haralson County, GA on January 22, 1950 a son of the late Walter J. Brown and Elaine Ledford Brown. Mr. Brown had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County in the Cedartown area. Prior to becoming disabled he worked in construction as a carpenter.


Survivors include an aunt, Mrs. Brenda White of Rockmart and an uncle, Mr. Glenn Ledford of Cedartown. A number of cousins also survive.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Shedd and Rev. Chris Truett officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery of Cedartown.


Pallbearers will include: Justin Weaver, Keith Barber, Tracy Samples, Jimmy Lee Houston, Jr., Dennis Palmer and Cody Lumpkin.


The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
