Angela "Angie" Free Butler

Mrs. Angela “Angie” Lynn Butler, age 58, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her residence.

Angie was born March 14, 1965, in Rockmart, GA, a daughter of the late Crawder R. Free and Evelyn Carter Free. She had lived all her life in Taylorsville and was a member of Brandon’s Chapel Baptist Church. Angie loved working with flowers and was a floral designer. She also enjoyed gardening, raising horses and riding motorcycles. She was a housewife and homemaker for her husband, Andy Butler, whom she married on December 8, 1985.

Angie is survived by her husband, Andy Butler of Taylorsville; step-daughter, Kellie (David) Mohon of Adairsville, GA; step-son, Carey Butler of Acworth, GA; two granddaughters, Bridget Teal and Lia Mohon, both of Adairsville; two grandsons, Dakota Mohon and Lucas Mohon, both of Adairsville; sister, Pam (Darrell) Ferguson of Dallas, GA; brother, Gerald (Heather) Free of Taylorsville; brother-in-law, Jimmie Butler of Cartersville, GA; sisters-in-law, Sharon Hendricks of White, GA, and Sybil Smith of Cartersville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Angie will be held on Tuesday afternoon, October 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Scott Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Angie’s family will receive friends Monday evening, October 2, 2023, at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Mark Butler, Stanley Chadwick, Ricky Worthey, Darrell Wade, Billy Ward and Colbie Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Mario De Los Santos, Myron Lyle, Rodney Morris, Alvin Reynolds, Lamar Tilly, Jason Cochran and Joe Harris.
