Ann Sanders Keller

Mrs. Ann Sanders Keller, age 89, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 following a brief illness.

She was born in LaGrange, GA on October 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Vandiver Sanders and Mildred Simpson Sanders. Ann had lived in Rockmart for the last 59 years.

Mrs. Keller attended Auburn University where she served as a majorette and met the love of her life, Bill Keller, who played football for Auburn. She was an avid Braves fan and a devoted Rockmart High School sports fan. Ann loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an active member of Rockmart First United Methodist Church. She retired as an educator for Polk School District after teaching 5th grade for 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Keller.

Survivors include her three children: Van Keller (Cathrine) of Dalton, Kitty York (Sonny) of Rockmart, and Dana Clark (Mike) of Rockmart; 8 grandchildren: Rebecca Waldrop (John), Bill Keller (Brianna), Sanford Clark (Courtney), Anna Parson (Biff), Katie Keller, John Keller, Elizabeth Walcher (Ben), and Mary Roberson (Hayden); 12 great-grandchildren: Hunter Waldrop, Parker Waldrop, Camdyn Clark, Tucker Parson, Chandler Clark, Max Parson, Evan Keller, Thomas Kate Roberson, Andrew Keller, Keller Roberson, Madilyn Walcher, Carson Walcher.

Funeral services for Mrs. Keller will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Rockmart First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Edward Murrey and Rev. David Autrey officiating. A eulogy will be given by her granddaughter Elizabeth Walcher. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Gentlemen to serve as pallbearers will include: Sanford Clark, Ben Walcher, Biff Parson, John Waldrop, John Keller, Parker Waldrop, Hunter Waldrop, Hayden Roberson and Bill Keller.
