Ann Swan

Mrs. Ann Swan, age 74, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Mrs. Swan was born on March 31, 1947 in Rome, GA, to her parents: William Hicks and Mildred Shanks Hicks. Ann lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart, GA and worked as a homemaker, taking care of her family that she loved so much. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, raising her grandbabies and her neighborhood children. Mrs. Swan was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Julian Hicks and her husband, Houston Swan.

Ann is survived by her loving children: Cynthia Dodson (Jason) of Cedartown, GA, Jody Swan (Brook) of Rockmart, GA, 5 grandchildren: Shawn Cotton, Jessica Cotton, Austin Cotton, Lucas Swan and Konnor Swan, 5 great-grandchildren: Dixie Cotton, Brayden Cotton, Kaydum Cotton, Chance Cotton and Houston Cotton, sister, Natalie Stegall of Rockmart, GA, brother, Kenneth Schmeck, of Cartersville, GA, nieces and nephews: Maurice and Lee Hicks, Abby Stegall, Brooke Hennon and Trent Schmeck.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ann Swan will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with her Brother-In-Law Todd Stegall officiating. Interment will follow the service at Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
