Mrs. Annette Ezzell Allgood, age 93, of Rockmart, GA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
She was born in Rockmart, GA on May 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Banks Ezzell, Sr. and the late Nellie Garner Ezzell. She was a lifelong resident of Rockmart and graduated from Rockmart High School in 1949. Mrs. Allgood was a retired employee of the Rockmart-Aragon Hospital working as the purchasing agent for the hospital. Following her first retirement she and her husband owned and operated Allgoods Country Curtains for several years. Mrs. Allgood was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a devoted member of the Victory Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Allgood on December 23, 2007, and by her three brothers: Banks Ezzell, Jr., Jimmy Ezzell and John Ezzell.
Survivors include her two daughters Sherry Atkins and her husband James, and Maureen Moss and her husband Melton; special daughter, Jane Ezzell Tillery and her husband Ralph; five granddaughters: Lori Atkins Carter (Scott), Charla Atkins Teems, Heather Holder, Julie Moss Carlton (Chad) and Andrea Moss; great-grandchildren: Lauren Carter, Lynsey Carter, Alexis Teems, Abi Teems, Kaysie Taylor (Dylan), Kyleigh Holder, Jersey Carlton, Atticus Carlton and Wrenn Carlton; great-great-grandchildren: Aleighse Taylor and Haven Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Snapp and Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Allgood will lie instate at the church on Wednesday from 2 pm until 3 pm.
Pallbearers will include Chad Carlton, Atticus Carlton, Keith Metcalf, Scott Carter, Ethan Mullen, Teddy Yarbrough, Jamy Teems and Dylan Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will include Andy Gulledge, Glenn Robinson, Keith Woodring and Ralph Tillery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
