Annie Lorene Bruce Privett

Mrs. Annie Lorene Bruce Privett, age 93, of 410 Vinson Mountain Road, Rockmart passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the local nursing center.


She was born in Boaz, AL on August 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Algie Bruce and Annie Lester Bruce. Mrs. Privett had been a resident of Polk County since 1950 moving here from AL. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethsadia Baptist Church of Boaz, AL. Mrs. Privett was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Albert M. Privett on November 9, 1995, by her two daughters: Shirley Ann Privett Edwards and Jannie Faye Privett on December 1, 1966 and by a sister Mrs. Ruth Cooper.


Survivors include her son, Bruce Privett, Rockmart; two grandchildren: Bruce Lee Privett, Rockmart and Stacey Lynn McCormack, Cartersville; two great grandchildren: Mason McCormack and Jessica McCormack; one brother, Billy Joe Bruce, Dayton, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
