Barbara Harpe

Mrs. Barbara Lee Harpe, age 51, of 212 Gordon Street, Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her residence following an eighteen month illness.


She was born in Cedartown, GA on April 22, 1959 a daughter of Orval Cleveland Forrister and Shelby Jean Adkins Forrister. Barbara had lived the greater part of her life in the Yorkville community and was a 1976 graduate of Paulding County High School. She later graduated from the Armstrong Beauty School of Cartersville. Mrs. Harpe was an employee of the AT & T Customer service Center of Cedartown. She loved arts & crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Danny Harpe of Rockmart to whom she was married on January 17, 2009; five children: Paula Morales, Yorkville, Jeremy Morales and wife Hillary of Yorkville, Chad Hulsey, Buford, GA, Megan Causey and husband Kenny of Rockmart and Mikey Kay, Rockmart; mother, Mrs. Shelby Forrister, Yorkville; father, Mr. O.C. Forrister, Cedartown; sister, Mrs. Jeannie Graham and husband David, Cedartown; brother, Mr.Kenneth Forrister, Rockmart; two grandsons and one granddaughter.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Reginald Campbell and Rev. Don Lindsey officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Marshall Campbell, Joey Harpe, David Graham, Chris Graham, Michael Graham and Caleb Graham.


The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
