Barbara Thomas Cauley

Mrs. Barbara Thomas Cauley, age 72, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Mrs. Cauley was born on December 18, 1949 in Rockmart, GA. to her parents: Benjamin "Shorty" Thomas and Emma Davis Thomas. Barbara lived all her life in Polk County and was Baptist by faith. She attended Van Wert Baptist Church. Barbara went to work for Goodyear in 1976 and retired from Meggitt in 2015 as a supervisor. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, humming bird feeders and carpentry. Mrs. Cauley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Cauley is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Woody” Cauley of Taylorsville, GA; daughter, Jennifer Woods of Rockmart, GA; son, Jody Lumpkin of Taylorsville, GA; 2 grandchildren: Dawson Sanders and Cody Lumpkin (Kristi) and great granddaughter, Jacey Rae Lumpkin.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Cauley will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Hobbs officiating and eulogies given by her grandson, Cody Lumpkin; and friend, Natasha Fields. Interment will follow the service at Polk Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Cody Lumpkin, Dawson Sanders, Tanner Tucker, Ladale Roberson, Ryan Fields and Tracy Samples.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 3:00 PM.
