Betty Gribble Baines

Mrs. Betty Gribble Baines, age 92, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Baines was born on February 25, 1929 in Aragon, GA, to her parents: Ephram O. Gribble and Hattie Moates Gribble. Betty lived all her life in the Aragon area and was a faithful member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Mrs. Baines was self-employed and owned Betty’s Beauty Shop for many years before retiring. She loved her church family and being apart of church activities. She also enjoyed painting, crafts and spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George W. Baines, great-granddaughter, Isabella Grace Baines, brother, James Gribble, Jesse Gribble, Garnett Gribble, Monroe Gribble and Howard Gribble, sisters: Stella Arp, Rosie Garrison, and Hermena Kirk Patrick.

Mrs. Baines is survived by her loving children: Donnis Baines (Stacie), Linda Waters, Dianne Garrison (Chuck), grandchildren: Shane Garrison (Melissa), Don Baines (Brittany), Brenna Miller (Steven), Terri Lynn Waters and Shyla Baines, great-grandchildren: Lucy Garrison, Lucas Garrison, Ella Shae Miller, Max Miller, Britton Grace Baines, and Weston Baines, great great-grandchildren: Marjorie Garrison and Evelyn Forsyth.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Baines will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Live Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Osborn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following: Chuck Garrison, Shayne Garrison, Don Baines, Steven Miller, Lucas Garrison and Adam Brinkley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Max Miller and Mr. Weston Baines.

The family will receive friends at Live Oak Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Live Oak Baptist Church in loving memory of Mrs. Baines.
