Betty Jean Cross Tucker

Mrs. Betty Jean Cross Tucker, age 83 of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at her residence.

She was born in Cartersville, GA on August 25, 1937 a daughter of the late Unos Zachery Waits and the late Maggie Elizabeth Siniard Waits. Mrs. Tucker had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart, was a former employee of Tip Top and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed making silk flowers for decoration day.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Roy Neil Cross and by two brothers: Earl and John Willie Waits.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie Tucker; a granddaughter, Kerri Tolbert; four nieces: Janice Presley, Teresa Krawiec, Janice McDowell and Susan Hunt; two nephews: Jonathan Waits and Richard Williams; a number of great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Chaplain Lee Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Brandon Loyd, Brad Loyd, Chandler Cooper, Larry Smith, Timmy Williams and Jonathan Waits. Honorary pallbearers will include: Ricky Presley and Richard Williams.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 12:30 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
