Betty Kinney

Mrs. Betty Kinney, age 78, of Rockmart passed away suddenly Saturday, September 7, 2013.

She was born in Polk County, GA on April 17, 1935, a daughter of the late Willie Clemons and the late Bertha Mae Swann Clemons. Mrs. Kinney had lived all of her life in the Rockmart area and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a former employee of Integrated Products in Aragon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons: Tommy Dover and James Edward (Timmy) Dover; daughter, Deborah Dover; two grandsons: Ricky Brantley and Bobby Fowler; and a granddaughter, Breanna Fowler.

Survivors include her husband, Lou Kinney of Rockmart, to whom she married on January 16, 1973; two daughters: Janie Brantley and her husband Richard, Rockmart and Cindy Fowler and her husband Bobby, Rockmart; son, Barry Dover and his wife Susan, Rockmart; sister, Margie Millican, Rockmart; brother, James Clemons, Aragon; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Ingram and Bro. Junior Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Dylan Yarbrough, Richard Herrera, Bobby Fowler, Justin Dover, Wayne Clemons and Blake Moats.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
