Billy Gene Dover

Mr. Billy Gene Dover, age 40, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Gordon Hospital, Calhoun, GA.

He was born in Rome, GA on September 26, 1972 a son of Jerry Crawford Dover, Sr. and Patricia Diane Baines Dover. Gene had lived all of his life in Rockmart where he was a member of the Lake View Baptist Church. He was a CDL driver having last worked for Cagle?s in Rockmart. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time riding four wheelers and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry C. Dover, Sr. on November 13, 2008 and by his mother, Patricia Diane Coker on June 25, 2010.

Survivors include his wife, Trina Morgan Dover of Rockmart to whom he was married on January 1, 1997; a daughter, Autumn Dover, Rockmart and a son, Cody Dover, Rockmart; brother, Jerry C. Dover, Jr., Rockmart and a grandmother, Lena Mae Robinson, Aragon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jason Rogers, Jamie Strickland, Jeramie Baines, Dustin Freeman, Will Dover, Dakota Smith and Chad Garrett

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
