Billy Joe Moffett

Mr. Billy Joe Moffett, age 72, of 236 Portland Road Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 following several months of declining health.

He was born in Maryville, TN on April 4, 1937 a son of the late Earl and Pearl Moore Moffett. Mr. Moffett had been a resident of Polk County for the past eighteen years. He was retired from Vulcan Materials Company having served as Plant Supervisor in Rockmart.



Survivors include his wife, Virginia Brock Moffett of Aragon to whom he was married on March 19, 1977. Children: Debbie Godfrey and her husband Lance, Aragon, Frankie Moffett, Savannah, Betty Moffett, Savannah and Terry Moffett, Marietta; two granddaughters: Abbie and Maddie Godfrey of Aragon and one grandson, Dylan Moffett of TN; two brothers: Earl Moffett and Glen Moffett both of Maryville, TN and two sisters: Linda McKee and Lucille Willocks both of Maryville, TN.


Mr. Moffett's desire was to be cremated with no formal services being held.
