Mrs. Brenda Kay Allen, age 60, of 2290 County Road 118 Centre, AL and formerly of Aragon passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
She was born in Atlanta, GA on November 14, 1950 a daughter of the late Joel Franklin Taylor and Jewell Smith Taylor. Mrs. Allen had been a resident of Centre, AL since 2001 moving there from Aragon. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Taylor.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Allen of Centre, AL to whom she was married on June 13, 1976; one daughter, Pamela Allen, Jasper, GA; one son, Gary Franklin Taylor, Centre, AL; four brothers: Ken Taylor, Rockmart, Ronnie Taylor, Rockmart, David Taylor, Rockmart and Randy Taylor, Clinton, S.C.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Dunn officiating and her brother, Ken Taylor delivering a eulogy.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial hour at the funeral home.
