Brian William Lamar Wilkes

Mr. Brian William Lamar Wilkes, age 41, of Aragon, GA passed away suddenly Thursday, October 10, 2013.

Brian was born in Rome, GA on May 13, 1972 a son of Cecil Eugene Wilkes, Sr. and Donna Waddell Wilkes. He had lived all of his life in the Rockmart and Aragon area and was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, hunting and softball. Brian was employed as a diesel mechanic with Southern Cable and Utilities Group. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Mobley on June 30, 1996 and by his father, Cecil Eugene Wilkes, Sr. on July 28, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Missy Dunn Wilkes to whom he was married on July 21, 1990; three children: Kizer Wilkes, Josh Wilkes and Makenna Wilkes all of Aragon; four brothers and sisters: Cecil Wilkes, Jr., Rockmart, Sabrina Edwards, Silver Creek, Chasity Wilkes, Lindale and Jamie Wilkes, Aragon and grandfather, H.E. Wilkes, Douglasville.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Swift and Rev. Danny Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Rodney Sanders, B. J. Ward, Scottie Swift, Britt Earwood, John Goodwill and John Bowman.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
