Bryan Dunwoody

Mr. Bryan Lewis Dunwoody, age 22, of Hutchings Mountain Road Rockmart passed away Sunday November 14, 2010 in Bremen, GA.


Bryan was born in Rome, GA on October 27, 1988 a son of Sam Lewis Dunwoody, Jr. and Sherry Garrett Dunwoody. He had lived all of his life in Rockmart where he was educated in the Polk School System. He graduated from Rockmart High School in the Class of 2007. Bryan was involved in the sports programs of the school having participated in Cross Country, Track and Wrestling. He was a two time area champion and a one time state finalist in wrestling. Bryan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and ride horses. Following his graduation from Rockmart High School he attended North Georgia Technical School. He was employed by Graystone Power Company where he worked as a lineman.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Sam Lewis Dunwoody, Sr., grandmother, Dorothy Dunwoody and grandfather, Tony Garrett.


Survivors include his parents, Sam and Sherry Dunwoody, Rockmart; two sisters: Ashley Pace and husband Jeff, Aragon and Amanda Lanier and husband Cory, Euharlee; one brother, Ben Dunwoody, Rockmart; grandmother, Myrtle Garrett, Aragon; one niece and two nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Clonts officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Daniel Teal, Daniel Wright, Taylor Hughes, Kyle Trout, Josh Cook and Michael Clonts.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Bryan Lewis Dunwoody.
