Calvin Eugene Weaver

Mr. Calvin Weaver, age 79, of 35 Tower Circle Rockmart passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 in a Rome Medical Center following a brief illness.


He was born in Haralson County, GA on May 12, 1930 a son of the late Samuel Dynell Weaver and Elza Pope Weaver. Mr. Weaver had lived most of his life in the Rockmart and Aragon area. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Weaver was a former employee of Lewis Carpet Mills of Cartersville and was of the Church of God faith. He was a member of the Old Raschals Gang that met at Bojangles. Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.


Survivors include a daughter Belinda Campbell and her husband Dwight of Dallas, GA ; a son, Doug Weaver and his wife Stacey of Rockmart; three grandsons: Zack Weaver and wife Amanda, Brent Campbell and wife April and Jason Campbell and wife Taylor; three great grandsons: Parker Campbell, Kenneth Campbell and Zacary Weaver.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Delton Harne officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service Thursday, the family will gather at Mr. Weavers residence, 35 Tower Circle, Rockmart.
