Chant Lee Campbell

Chant Lee Campbell, age 56, of Cedartown, GA, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Chant was born in Rome, GA, on October 10, 1966, son of the late Shelva Campbell Ruff. He was a 1985 graduate of Rockmart High School and was of the Baptist faith. Chant had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County and lived for a period of 18 years in Subligna, GA. For the majority of his life, he was in parts management at several car dealerships and parts stores. Chant was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Liam. In addition to his mother, Chant was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace and Doris Campbell. 

Chant is survived by his wife, April Price Campbell, whom he married October 6, 1990; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Todd Simmons, of Rockmart; grandson, Liam Simmons of Rockmart; half-sister, Kim (Joel) Grubbs; half-brother, Brandon Bailey. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Chant will be Friday afternoon, July 7, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Benny Price officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Morgan Simmons, Justin Campbell, Bengi Price, DeWuan Price, Kyle Price, and Pedro Domingo. Honorary pallbearers will include Tony Bannister, Jeff Boatner, Randy Boatner, and Roger Grizzle. 

Chant’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
