Charlene Hazel Lewis

Mrs. Charlene Hazel Lewis, age 61, of Aragon, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. 

Mrs. Lewis was born on December 18, 1962 in Cartersville, GA. She was the daughter of the late John Wilie Hufstetler and Hazel McCurley Hufstetler. Charlene spent the greater part of her life in Polk County and Bartow County. She retired from J Mish Mills and enjoyed spending her time gardening, fishing and being an expert crafter. She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren and her dogs, Poo-Poo and TT. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents: John Wilie Hufstetler and Hazel McCurley Hufstetler. grandson, Hudsyn Reid “Hud” Lewis, mother-in-law, Dorthy Lewis and father-in-law, Jack Lewis. 

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Lewis; three sons: Jeremy (Miranda) Hovers, Todd (Jennifer) Hovers and Joey (Haley) Lewis; six grandchildren: Tanner Levi Hovers, Chloe Grace Hovers, Ellie Grace Lewis, Holstyn Ridge Lewis, Jasper Wade Hovers (Christy Barkley) and Harrisyn River Lewis; sister, Sandra Burch; brother, Jerry Hufstetler; sister-in-law’s; Cindy Lewis Smith and Evie(Jack) Lewis, Jenny Bright, brother- in-law, Roy Allen Lewis and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services to honor the life of Charlene Hazel Lewis will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor James Cordell officiating and eulogies given by Haley Lewis and Cindy Smith. Entombment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens. 

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Jeremy Hovers, Todd Hovers, Tony Amos, Paden Smith, Zackary Lewis and Joey Lewis. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
