Charles "Chuck" Mullins

Mr. Charles Albert “Chuck” Mullins of Rockmart, GA, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2023, at the age of 63, doing what he could always be found doing – helping his family.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Jerri Cummings Mullins, whom he married December 2, 2011; daughters, Rebecca Mullins Gotts and Mireille Fager Beckwith; sons, Powell Fager and Austin Phillips; sisters, Peggy Vasbinder and Marcie Plont; brothers, Gene (Lisa) Mullins and John (Stacey Parker) Plont. Chuck had ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

There was little that Chuck didn’t enjoy as long as it was outside. He and Jerri split their time between their home in Rockmart and their property in LeRoy, MI. They boated, camped, fished, and spent precious time with family. Chuck loved outdoor adventures with friends. He was a warrior who overcame numerous physical issues during the last 3 years. He was a problem solver and never said “No” to anyone who needed his help.

Chuck was a dog’s best friend and dedicated 28 years of his life to Invisible Fence Company to ensure that other people’s pets were safe and secure.

Chuck was ornery, stubborn and tough as nails but 100% available to friends and family with love in his heart. He was a strong force in the lives of those fortunate to encounter him. Chuck had a dry sense of humor (inappropriate at times) and wasn’t nearly as funny as he thought he was!

Chuck will be sorely missed by all.

Chuck’s Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Rockmart First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Chuck and Jerri’s families will meet in the front parlor at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service and would enjoy visits from all.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Rockmart First United Methodist Church, to a favorite charity, or to your local animal shelter.
