Charles Edwin (Eddie) Deems

Mr. Charles Edwin (Eddie) Deems, age 67, of Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in a Rome hospital following an extended illness.

He was born in Aragon, GA on August 21, 1947 a son of the late Belton Deems and Mary Jane Adams Deems. Mr. Deems had lived all of his life in the Rockmart and Aragon area and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and enjoyed playing Candy Crush. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Blackmon.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Deems of Aragon to whom he was married on March 26, 1977; two daughters: Mary Ellen Carter, Cedartown and Amanda Roberson, Cedartown; five grandchildren: Dedra Roberson, Alyssa Roberson, Andrew Carter, Bryan Carter and Jonathan Carter; one sister, Margaret Harrell, Aragon; three brothers: Jimmy Deems, Rockmart, Harold Deems, Aragon and Roy Deems, Aragon; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Kirby Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
