Mr. Charles Lloyd Bennett, age 83, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Mr. Bennett was born on March 10, 1938 in Cedartown, GA, to his parents: Carl Lloyd Bennett and Effie Mar Hammond Bennett. Charles spent the greater part of his life in Polk County and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. In his free time, Charles enjoyed trout fishing. He was employed with Star Manufacturing, where he worked as a welder. Mr. Bennett was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Lloyd Bennett Jr. and sister, Shirley Lane.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his loving wife, Sara Ruth Davenport Bennett, children: Effie Lynn Bennett, Jeff Bennett (Becki), Tracy Bass (John), and Billy Bennett, 7 grandchildren, sister, Christine Turpin and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Lloyd Bennett will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rob Miller, Bro. Eric Evans and Bro. Ralph Williams. Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Brandon Bennett, Levi Bennett, John Seaman and Corey Peck.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Lloyd Bennett.
