Charles Mickey Adair, 79, of Isle of Hope and husband of Anita Parham Adair, died, Friday, December 4 at Hospice Savannah.
He was born on August 17, 1936 in Cedartown, Georgia, a son of the late James A. Adair, Sr. and the late Estelle Odom Adair. He was a graduate of Cedartown High School.
Mickey was employed as a stevedore for 44 years, working for Smith and Kelly Shipping Company. He retired from SSA. He served as Captain of the Isle of Hope Volunteer Fire Department for 34 years. He loved the Atlanta Braves, football, fishing and the Georgia Bulldogs.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anita Parham Adair; daughter Andra Adair-Morgan and her husband, Dale Morgan of Isle of Hope; grandson, Sam Adair Morgan of Isle of Hope; brother, Jerry Adair of Kennesaw, Georgia; special nephew, Dannie Adair of Savannah; nephew, Tom Cook of Cedartown, Georgia; several other nieces and nephews.

The Isle of Hope Volunteer firefighters will serve as honorary pallbearers and the pallbearers will be; Larry Hadwin, Brad Whittfield, Denny Chandler, Dannie Adair, Garland Wilson and Marcus Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, from 5 until 7 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, at 1:00pm, at Isle of Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
