Charles Thomas (Tommy) Gilbert

Mr. Charles Thomas (Tommy) Gilbert, age 65, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Mr. Gilbert was born in Marietta, GA on October 18, 1955, a son of Clark T. Gilbert and Ella Elizabeth McCollum Gilbert. Tommy had lived the greater part of his life in the Acworth area and was a graduate of Cartersville High School. During some of his high school years he lived in Switzerland where he attended school for three years. He and his wife Annie moved to the Rockmart area two years ago where they are members of the Second Baptist Church. Tommy loved working on small engines, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from Lockheed-Martin after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clark T. Gilbert.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Gilbert, to whom he was married on June 16, 2001; two sons: Lane Gilbert and his wife, Essie, and Conner Gilbert and his wife, Melissa; four grandchildren: Lake Wilson Gilbert, Jaedyn Gilbert, William Jase Gilbert, and Anna Catherine Gilbert; mother, Betty Gilbert; and his brother, Robert Gilbert and his wife, Jenny.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Gilbert will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
