Craton L. Williams, Sr.

Mr.Craton L. Williams, Sr., age 73, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Rome, GA on April 24, 1941 a son of the late James Lewis Williams and Connie Powell Williams. Mr. Williams had lived all of his life in Rockmart where he was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the Bekaert Corporation of Rome. Mr. Williams loved to fish and collect guns. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Hayes and Margie Peek.

Survivors include two daughters: Tina Cruz, Rome and Linda Crete, Rockmart; one son, Leon Williams and wife Tina, Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren: Hallie Crete, Selena Cruz and Caitlin Crete; one brother, Paul Marvin Williams, Cedartown; one sister, Maxine Hulsey, Galveston, TX and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the memorial hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church of Rockmart in Mr. Williams memory.
