Mr. Curtis Miller, age 83, of 349 Curtis Miller Road Temple, GA (the Beulah Community) passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014.
He was born in Paulding county, GA on May 20, 1931 the son of the late Homas Miller and Gordie Cole Miller. Mr. Miller had lived all of his life in the Paulding and Polk county area. He was a graduate of Dallas High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Right Of Way Contractor for Carroll EMC from 1960 until 2005. Mr. Miller was also a farmer who loved to spend time working the land and raising cattle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Cockrell.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Miller to whom he was married in May of 1971; son, Forrest Miller, Temple; four daughters: Linda Miller, Cedartown, Jackie Green, Rockmart, Judy Craig, Calhoun and Jentsie Johns, Temple; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Miss Hope Edwards and Mr. Cody Green will deliver eulogies. Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery with Rev. Steve Goldin officiating.
Pallbearers will include: Cody Green, Jimmy Lovvorn, Harvis McClarity, John Howell, Scott Edwards and Brent Howell.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
