Darrell Edwin Osborne

Mr. Darrell Edwin Osborne, age 64, of Cedartown, GA passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 following several years of poor health.

He was born in Paulding County, Ga on March 31, 1948 a son of the late George and Annie Ruth Osborne. Mr. Osborne had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. Mr. Osborne had served as a police officer with both the Rockmart and Aragon Police Departments. His last employment was in protective service with the U.S. Marshal Service. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Tony Osborne and Bobby Osborne and a sister Glenda Tucker.

Survivors include his wife, Betty McAlister Osborne of Cedartown to whom he was married on November 23, 2006; son, Dean Osborne and daughter, Ceritha Osborne both of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri;daughter, Melisa Osborne, Cartersville; step son, Greg Waits, Cedartown.

A memorial service will be planned at a future date by the family in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.
