David Wayne Conrad, Sr.

Rev. Dr. David Wayne Conrad, Sr., age 81, of Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, May 25, 2020.

He was born on September 28, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH a son of the late William Karl Conrad and the late Courtney Pope Conrad. Rev. Conrad had been a resident of Rockmart since 2012 moving here from California where he had lived since 1983. He had also lived for ten years in Arizona. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1955 to 1959. Rev. Conrad received his doctoral degree from the California Graduate School of Theology in 1977. His life was all about soul winning for Christ. Among his hobbies were golfing and flying.

He is survived by his wife Mary Conrad, Rockmart to whom he was married on June 11, 1960; two sons: David Wayne Conrad, Jr. Rockmart and Robert Karl Conrad (Brandi), Rockmart; two grandchildren: Courtney Chapel (David) and William Conrad; brother, William Ronald Conrad and a sister, Danise Shields. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Levi Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton.
