Deborah Hulsey Kirk

Mrs. Deborah Hulsey Kirk, age 49, of Cedartown and formerly of Rockmart passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 following an extended illness.

She was born in Cedartown, GA on February 16, 1964, a daughter of Darrell Hulsey and Arlene Jarrell Hulsey. Deborah was a 1983 graduate of Rockmart High School and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with her family taking trips to the mountains or to the beach and she loved to dance. Deborah was preceded in death by her first husband David Haney, Sr. in 1998 and by her father Darrell Hulsey in 2004.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Kirk of Cedartown, to whom she was married on October 10, 2009; two sons: David Haney, Jr., Cedartown and Shawn Haney, Rockmart; six grandchildren: Angela Haney, Tiffany Haney, Gabriel Haney, Liam Haney, Stacey Johnson and Davey Johnson; step daughter, Courtney Kirk, Cedartown; mother, Arlene Hulsey, Rockmart; two sisters: Teresa Beck, Rockmart and Michelle Baker, Euharlee; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery of Cedartown.

Pallbearers will include: Alex Baker, Andrew Baker, Bill Baker, Brad Hardy, Vince Upton and Randy Fricks. Honorary pallbearers will include: Gerald Lee and Tina Williams.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
