Denny Ray Williams

Mr. Denny Ray Williams, age 67, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Aragon, GA on October 12, 1946 a son of James Ivey Williams and Madeline Atkins Williams. Mr. Williams had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a member of the VFW, American Legion Riders, a Legionaire and a member of the Sons of the Legion. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Williams on March 19, 2013, by a brother Jimmy Lassiter and sisters: Grace Baxter, Dot Moses, Myrtle Campbell and Jean Campbell.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Lee Williams Soto ; granddaughter, Gaberial Soto ; gradnson, Jeffrey Soto and three great grandchildren all of Texas. A niece Frieda Payne of Clarksville, GA also survives.

Graveside memorial services will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Antioch
Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Duncan officiating.

The American Legion Honor Guard of Brown-Wright Post # 12 will provide military graveside rites.

The memorial procession will leave the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, May 4th at 1:30 p.m. for the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
