Derrell Lee West

Mr. Derrell Lee West, age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Derrell was born in Rockmart, GA on September 7, 1951, a son of the late Walter Tyson West and the late Gertrude Ione Portwood West. Mr. West had lived all of his life in Rockmart and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and had worked for Goodyear, TipTop, and Nordic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie West.

Derrell is survived by his two sisters: Melba West and Sybil West, both of Aragon; nieces; nephews; and a great-niece.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
