Dianne Williams King

Mrs. Dianne Williams King, age 64, of Rockmart passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her residence following an illness of several months.

She was born on December 19, 1947 in Polk County, GA a daughter of Claude Edgar Williams and Dollie Savannah Miller Williams. Mrs. King had lived all of her life in the Polk and Paulding County area. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Wayne Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Dwayne King of Rockmart to whom she was married on July 17, 1976; daughter, Wendy King, Rockmart; son, Kevin King, Rockmart; four grandchildren: Tyler Leslie, Courtney King, Wayne King and Dianne King; three sisters: Elaine Williams, Marsha Wright and Joan Browning all of Rockmart; three brothers: Cecil Williams, Willard Williams and Wendell Williams all of Rockmart; mother and father in law, Helen and Hugh Shepard; sixteen nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the County Line Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Fennell and Rev. Steve Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Ronnie, Chris, Michael, Joey and Adam Williams and Travis Wright. Tyler Leslie and Wayne King will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
