Doris Campbell

Mrs. Doris Kelley Campbell, age 87, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Aragon, GA on May 15, 1927 a daughter of the late Henry and Annie Mae Kelley. Mrs. Campbell had lived all of her life in the Rockmart and Aragon area. She was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church and had been employed by the Goodyear Mill and Loral for forty three years. Mrs. Campbell loved to cook for her family following a long days work at the mill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Campbell on March 3, 2009 and by a sister, Eloise Burnley.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelva Ruff, Rockmart; two sons: Jerry Campbell and wife Wanda, Rockmart and Tim Campbell, Rockmart; four grandchildren: Chant Campbell and wife April, Jeremy Campbell and wife Nena, Justin Campbell and wife Megan and Josh Campbell; four great grandchildren: Courtney Campbell, Addison Campbell, Brooklyn Campbell and Lila Campbell; two sisters: Velma and husband William V. Campbell, Rockmart and Betty Holder, Marietta; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Garrett and Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Chant Campbell, Courtney Campbell, Addison Campbell, Justin Campbell, Jeremy Campbell, Nigel Campbell and William Jones. Honorary pallbearers will include the neighbors of the Clarkwood Community.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
