Doris V. Channell

Mrs. Doris V. Channell, age 88, of Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Cleburne County, AL on May 31, 1925 a daughter of the late Sam and Leah Parker Vincent. Mrs. Channell had lived all of her life in Polk County. She retired from the Goodyear Mill with 28 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Channell and by four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Edwards and her husband Houston, Rockmart; a son, Nathan Rex Channell, Rockmart; four grandchildren: Tammy Davis and husband Billy, Rhonda Channell, Vince Edwards and Rex Channell, Jr.; eleven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies given by members of her family. Inurnment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
