Doris Waddell Teems

Mrs. Doris Waddell Teems, age 89, of Aragon, GA, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Teems was born in Aragon on December 2, 1933, a daughter of the late James H. Waddell and Jessie E. Edwards Waddell. She had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County and was a member of the Church of God. Doris was a housewife who enjoyed cooking and reading her Bible, loved gardening and working with flowers and trees, and always cherished time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Teems was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Teems, on September 21, 2015, whom she married August 18, 1951; brothers, Paul, Pete, Hershell, and Gene Waddell; sister, Martha Waddell.

Doris is survived by children, Shirley Bearden of Powder Springs, GA, Van Teems of Aragon, Arnell Teems of Hiram, GA, and Dana Teems of Lindale, GA; sister, Nellie Dover of Taylorsville, GA; brother, Scott Waddell of Taylorsville. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Teems will be Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Aragon Cemetery with Danny Rhodes officiating.

Pallbearers will include Jamy Teems, Paden Teems, Cory Teems, Jeff Chandler, Zach Teems, and Kris Bearden.
