Elizabeth W. Moss

Mrs. Elizabeth W. Moss, age 77, of Dahlonega, GA and formerly of the Antioch community passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 in Dahlonega, GA.

She was born in Polk County on October 9, 1937 a daughter of Robert A. Weaver and Marie Chupp Weaver. Mrs. Moss had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County where she was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She was a former assistant to her late husband, Dr. Ben F. Moss, DVM and for many years was an avid collector and dealer of antiques.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ben F. Moss and by a sister Earline Akins.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Wright Bowers, Dahlonega and a son, Byron Scott Wright, Antioch; two step-daughters: Margie Hunnicutt, Centre, AL and Jean Nielsen, Smithfield, Utah; two sisters: Mary Williams, Rockmart and Robbie Jenkins, Cedartown; a brother, Ben Weaver, Cedartown; nine grandchildren also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies given by her grandsons Drew Bowers and Matthew Bowers. A visitation and meal will follow the service in the family room of the Ramsey Run complex.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Moss memorial fund at any Coosa Valley Credit Union in memory of Mrs. Moss
