Ernest Albert White

Mr. Ernest Albert White, age 71, of Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Rockmart, GA on February 21, 1948 a son of the late Isaac Jackson White and the late Mandy Lou Blaylock White. Mr. White had lived all of his life in Polk County where he was a member and Deacon of New Prospect Baptist Church. Mr. White was a retired employee of CSX Railroad where he worked as a welder for over twenty five years. He enjoyed watching western movies and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Arthur, James and Johnny White.

Survivors include his wife of fifty three years, Linda Anderson White; three children: Ernest Todd (Colleen) White, Tina (Dennis) Moncrief and Kristy Ferguson; nine grandchildren: Amber Lindsey, T.J. (Amber) White, Joshua (Mandy) Stroup, Kevin (Amanda) Stroup, Paul Hughes, Keisha McCormick, Cortney (Jeremy) Waits, Brett (Bonnie) Johnson and Evan (Krista) Johnson; twenty five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

In keeping with Mr. Whites’ wishes he will be cremated following the visitation.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and those desiring may make donations to the American Cancer Society.
