Mrs. Ethel Lee Williams, age 88, of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Waleska, GA on April 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Thomas Ratcliff and the late Katie Childers Ratcliff. Mrs. Williams lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart where she was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church. She loved gardening, cooking and taking care of her family. Mrs. Williams had worked as a seamstress for Rockmart Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Williams on April 5, 1982, to whom she was married on September 29, 1956. She was also preceded in death by ten sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters: Brenda Chastain and her husband Pete, Taylorsville and Wanda Garmon and her husband Joe, Rockmart; two sons: Ricky Williams, Rockmart and Eddie "Milo" Williams, Rockmart; four grandchildren: Anna Sorrells Cochran (Derrick), Chris Williams (Shannon), Danielle Kelley and Joey Garmon; six great-grandchildren: Carlee and Case Cochran, Finley Kate Kelley, Everly Rose Kelley, Kayden Joseph Williams and Levi Christopher Williams; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Private family graveside and interment services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2020 in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Brown officiating.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Ethel Lee Williams.
