Fannie Louise Edwards

Mrs. Fannie Louise Edwards, age 87, of Aragon, GA passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in a Rome medical center.

She was born in Polk County, GA on February 24, 1927 a daughter of James David Atkins and Essie Mae Hartley Atkins, Mrs. Edwards had been a lifelong resident of Polk County having lived in her present address in Aragon for 37 years. She was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God. Mrs. Edwards had been an employee of the Aragon Mill, Integrated Mill and retired from Murata Electronics. Following her retirement from Murata she worked as a greeter for McDonalds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Edwards in 1967; by a son, Kenneth Edwards in 2006; by sisters: Ruth Winters, Annie Ward, Mary Dicksby and Opal Coy; and a brother, Buddy Atkins.

Survivors include a daughter Kay Streetman and her husband Steven, Aragon; daughter in law, Linda Edwards, Aragon; grandchildren: Todd Edwards, Chris and Amanda Edwards, Cheryl and Kelvin Ingle, Brian and Kim Streetman, Sherry and Johnny Walker; great grandchildren: Zachary and Kyler Walker, Luke, Cameron and Katelyn Ingle, Dylan, Autumn and Ricky Edwards, Aaron, Chelsea, Emily and Gregory Edwards, Mark and Megan Deems, Sara and Justin Carter, Hallie Combs and Kayla and Anna Streetman; great great grandchildren: Zoey Evans, Jac Carter and Braylie and Austin Deems.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Edwards and Rev. Elgin Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Luke Ingle, Cameron Ingle, Dylan Edwards, Zachary Walker, Patrick Edwards and Kelvin Ingle.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
