Mrs. Frances Adaline Bollen Fincher, age 93, of Cedartown, GA passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
She was born in Polk County, GA on April 14, 1924 a daughter of the late James Edgar Bollen and Pearlie Mae Sanders Bollen. Mrs. Fincher had lived the greater part of her life in Polk County where she was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She retired from the Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan and later worked for Bojangles in Cedartown for nearly ten years. She also worked as a private sitter for several years. Mrs. Fincher enjoyed crocheting, crafts and working puzzle books.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. (Red) Fincher, a son, Eddie Fincher and by two brothers: J.T. Bollen and Romas E. Bollen, Sr.
Survivors include daughters: Sybil Ploof (Ralph), Bremen, Denise Lemon (Jerry), Temple, Velvet Smith (Sam), Buchanan; sons: Edward Fincher (Judy), Buchanan, Jimmy Fincher, Cedartown and Randy Fincher, Cedartown; step daughters: Edna Morgan (Bill), Thomasville and Carolyn Parsons, Florida; sisters: Melbaline Johnson, Rockmart and Edna McBrayer, Rockmart; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2107 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Parris and Rev. Charles Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with a eulogy given by Kasi Pirkle and prayer by Ralph Ploof.
Pallbearers will include Edward Fincher, Jimmy Fincher, Randy Fincher, Velvet Smith, Denise Lemon, Sybil Ploof, Matthew Smith and Buddy Fincher.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the service hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
