Frances B. Floyd

Mrs. Frances B. Floyd, age 74, of 430 Hendrix Road, Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009.


She was born in Dekalb County, Alabama on December 22, 1934 a daughter of Louise D. Barkley and the late William L. Barkley. Mrs. Floyd had been a resident of Polk County since 1954. She was a retired sales clerk, homemaker and a member of the County Line Baptist Church.


Survivors include her former husband, Miron Floyd, Rockmart; three sons: Tim Floyd, Rockmart, Jeff Floyd, Newnan and Brian W. Floyd, Rockmart; her mother Louise D. Barkley, Buchanan and four grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Thomas and Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in the Plunkett Cemetery of Dekalb County, AL.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
