Frances Irene Waddell

Mrs. Frances Irene Waddell, age 86, of Aragon, GA, passed away Monday. April 17. 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Waddell was born in Rockmart, GA, on March 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Charles Robinson and Pauline Cain Robinson. She had lived all her life in Aragon and was a member of Seney Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Waddell had worked for Murata Electronics Distribution. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and traveling to the mountains and to Florida. Mrs. Waddell adored her grandchildren and cherished her time with them.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waddell was preceded in death by her husband, Hershell Ray Waddell, on April 29, 1999; daughter, Tina Tucker; grandson, Brandon Waddell; brother, Doug Robinson; step-mother, Lena Mae Robinson; step-brothers, Ricky Baines, Wayne Baines, and Jackie Baines; step-sisters, Patricia Coker, Gail Hunnicutt, and Shirley Waites.

Mrs. Waddell is survived by five children, Daryle (Laura) Waddell of Rockmart, Arlene (Allen) Womack of Aragon, Terry (Steve) Wade of Cedar Bluff, AL, John (Eva) Waddell of Cedar Bluff, and Charles (Belinda) Waddell of Aragon. Sixteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two step-sisters, Gloria Crumley, and Brenda Bowman, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Waddell will be Friday afternoon, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Waddell’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday evening, April 20, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Dustin Waddell, Shane Waddell, James Waddell, Brent Gentry, Charlie Tucker and James Vasser.
