Frances Yolanda Crews Reynolds

Mrs. Frances Yolanda Crews Reynolds, age 95, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 in a Cedartown health care facility.

She was born in Carroll County, GA on August 13, 1920, a daughter of the late Thomas Grady Crews and Sylvia Gladys Phillips Crews. Mrs. Reynolds had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart where she was a lifelong member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church. She spent her working career at the Goodyear Mill where she retired after thirty five years of service. Mrs. Reynolds had a great love for traveling and was ready for a trip on a moments notice. She also loved to cook and was a great seamstress. Mrs. Reynolds was the oldest of thirteen children and survived all of her siblings who she helped raise growing up.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty seven years, Mr. Wilbur Jackson Reynolds; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her four children: Marie Reynolds Glenum, Rockmart, Larry Lamar Reynolds and his wife Gail, Rockmart, Susan Reynolds DesJardins and husband Ray, Social Circle and Marion Reynolds, Rockmart; grandchildren: Kelly Dunston (Gary), Scott Reynolds (Tracy), Kim Willimon (Mitch), Kevin Statham, Suzanne DesJardins and Chelsey Reynolds; great grandchildren: Austin and Allison Reynolds, Grace and Gavin Statham, Kane Willimon, Katie, Hannah and Zoe Dunston, and Destiny Brethour; great great grandson, Zayden Dunston; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John H. Hooper, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Austin Reynolds, Ed Hammonds, Hoyt Driver, Cody Amos, Parker Sanford and Peyton Sanford. Honorary pallbearers will include: Gary Dunston, Scott Reynolds and Ray DesJardins.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church building fund, 620 N. Piedmont Auenue, Rockmart, GA 30153 in Mrs. Reynolds' memory.
