Freddie Douglas Lewis

Mr. Freddie Douglas Lewis, age 80, of Aragon, GA, passed away Wednesday evening, February 19, 2025.

Mr. Lewis was born in Rockmart, GA, on May 10, 1944, a son of the late Clarence William “C.W.” Lewis and Vasti Chupp Lewis. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and attended True North Church in Calhoun, GA. Mr. Lewis was a builder and developer who enjoyed classic cars, hanging out at the car lot and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed trips to the mountains and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Faye Lewis, brother, Rev. Hoyt Lewis, and a sister, Addie Robinson.

Mr. Lewis is survived by a daughter, Cathy (James) Wisener; son Jeff Lewis (Karen Littlejohn); nine grandchildren, Ivey Graham, Bekah Grace, Ryan, Parker, Vance, Eric, Rachel, and Katie; two great-grandchildren, Emmitt and Titus; brother, Curtis (Sue) Lewis; sister, Barbara (Gary) Peek. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. Lewis will be held on Monday afternoon, February 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. James Wisener officiating. Eulogies will be delivered by Ivey and Bekah Grace.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until the memorial hour at the funeral home.
