Gary Franklin Taylor

Mr. Gary Franklin Taylor, age 55, of Leesburg, AL passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at his residence.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on January 3, 1968 and lived in Rockmart, GA for many years. Gary was a painter by trade and had attended UTI Auto Mechanic School. He loved to build model cars and listen to rock music. He was a great drummer and loved his records.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Kay Taylor Allen, father, James Woodson Allen, Jr.; grandfather, Joel Franklin Taylor, grandmother, Jewel M. Taylor, grandfather, James Woodson Allen, Sr., grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Allen; aunt, Gladeene Gibs; uncles: Tommy, Ronnie and Ken Taylor.

Survivors include his daughters: Tamara Lynn Taylor and Jennifer Marie Taylor; grandchildren: Sammy, Franklin, Thomas, Traylon, Alayna, Maliyah and a soon to be great grandchild; sister, Pamela Allen and five additional siblings; many aunts, uncles and a number of nieces and nephews and a soon to be great nephew.

In keeping with his wishes Gary will be cremated and the family will have a Celebration of Life Event on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the residence of David and Lorrie Taylor. 

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to UAB Hospital , Gentiva Hospice and Kirkland Clinic. His caregivers: Tamara, Pam, Danny, David, Lorrie, Franklin, Danielle, Tony, Sandy and Asheilgh his hospice nurse.
