Gene A. Jackson

Mr. Gene A. Jackson, age 73, of Dallas (the Yorkville community), passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Austell, GA.

He was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on March 26, 1940, a son of the late William Jackson and Lillie Taylor Jackson. Mr. Jackson had lived the past 15 years in the Yorkville Community moving there from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He had retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with over 20 years of service. Mr. Jackson was of the Baptist faith and he loved to hunt and fish.

He leaves to cherish his memory, seven daughters: Cynthia, Felicia, Mary Ann, Margaret, Norma Gene, Minnie, and Sylvia; three sons: Gene, Jr., Reggie and Frank; brother, Herbert (Brenda) Jackson; three sisters: JoAnne (Percy) Snead, Lillian Boyd and Virgie Smith; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
