Ginger Pinkard

April 30, 1970 — January 7, 2017

Mrs. Ginger Moody Pinkard, age 46, of Cedartown, GA passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Polk Medical Center following a brief illness.

Ginger was born in Rockmart on April 30, 1970 a daughter of James Melvin Moody and Gail Carter Moody. She had lived in the Rockmart area all of her life and was a 1988 graduate of Rockmart High School. Ginger loved Jesus and spent a great deal of her time assisting with fund raisers helping those who were in need. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends, taking pictures and making craft items. Ginger was employed by the Polk School District as a bus driver for fifteen years. The greatest love of her life was family, especially her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her father, James Melvin Moody on January 16, 2016.

Survivors include her husband, David Alan Pinkard, Sr., Cedartown to whom she was married on July 11, 2003; two daughters: Kayla Brand (Jason), Aragon and Angel Barnette, Rockmart; son, David Alan Pinkard,Jr., Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren: Jaycee Brand and Jaxson Brand; mother, Gail Chambers, Rockmart; brother, Jamie Moody (Stephanie), Rockmart.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Snapp officiating. A eulogy will be given by her uncle, Mike Carter. Interment will follow in the Yorkville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Clay Barnette, Josh Easterwood, Tim Hayes, Jeff Prince, Jerry George and Barry Cole.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Ginger Moody Pinkard.
